Nature gives us a sense of well being and helps our mental and physical health.
l do believe if there were a lot more communal gardening places for those who wish to participate in the activity, will help the sick to get better. What the gardener grows and gives away to people who need food gives a sense of achievement and an inner glow of happiness to know that people are being helped. lt is a beautiful cycle of a society bonding together. The volunteer gardener grows the produce for others and himself, which in turn also encourages others to participate to grow food to help others, and the waste product of the plants can be made out of compost to feed the next years growth.
lf only l had the money to buy acres of land for this very project l have in mind. l would like to help others to enjoy the beauty of what nature has in store for us.
Excuse the grammar. l am not thinking that well today. But l hope the members on here get the meaning on what l am on about.
l do believe if our system concentrates more on this kind of project rather than concentrating on more builds on the wildlife habitat. lt would be a lot better for society, and for the NHS etc

I hadn't heard much about communal gardening before @Ookpik, so it was great to read your post on it. It's an interesting idea.

The RHS has some tips on setting up a community garden, which looks like a similar thing. Perhaps you could have a look and see whether you find any of the ideas helpful?
