Good news after Tribunal application

hi all,
i just wanted to come back and update on my situation. I went to MR with only having scored 2 points in daily living, MR did not change their mind and stuck with the 2 points only. I logged my tribunal appeal just before Christmas and got in touch with a local charity to assist me with my case however, I received a call this week from PIP offering me standard mobility and enhanced daily living, which I will accept. I am really pleased. The lady was very nice and actually read what my application said, the first time I felt someone really listened and didn't just give a copy and paste negative response. I was not expecting this to happen, I was fully prepared to have to fight this further at tribunal. Just wanted to let people know not to give up hope as I was making myself even more unwell with the worry and stress, feel like a huge burden has been lifted now!

Username_removed said:DWP will offer the correct award or correct award length but rarely both. Check your award length. If you have a life long or degenerative health condition then your award should be ongoing/10 years.I presume they advised you that you can accept the offer and then submits further appeal on the award length without having to do a further MR.
hey, they said 'a few years' on the telephone to me today, which i would expect as my claim is mostly around mental health conditions/anxiety. i am quite happy with that length, which i assume is 2/3 years. i was expecting it to only be for a year or something, judging by how difficult this whole process has been, so it was a pleasant surprise it was longer than that.

Username_removed said:I would never accept “a few years”. That is not how offers should be phrased. Frankly that is appalling and I’d reject it out of hand until you know the exact detail.
thanks, will ask them to clarify tomorrow when i speak to them again

yes i am really relieved its all over and i don't have to worry about it for the next few years, it's been so stressful even though i've only been waiting since June, I know a lot of people have been waiting along longer than that. I am looking forward to receiving my back pay and can finally afford to start my private therapy again now
