There's no pressure to share anything you're not ready to yet @kl202. Please try not to worry too much about not being too great at explaining things, though. We can work it out together :)

You've mentioned some past problems coming back. Would you like to tell us a little more about that? What kind of past problems do you mean?

I'm glad that you're fine otherwise! Do you have anything planned for this evening?

Hi @kl202 I'm sorry to hear that, it can't be easy to deal with. Have you spoken to your doctor about it? They should be able to sort out some treatment for you if you let them know what symptoms you've been having.

Can I ask, was it Prostatitis before? The NHS advises that you should see a GP if you have symptoms of prostatitis, such as pelvic pain, difficulty or pain when peeing, or painful ejaculation. If you get sudden and severe symptoms of prostatitis, see a GP straight away.

Let us know if you're still unsure about anything, and keep us updated with how things go, we're here to support you.

Are you registered with a GP locally? Perhaps you could give them a call and explain your situation, it might be possible to arrange an appointment at home, but you'll probably also be required to go in for tests if they need you to.

It's really important that you do let a doctor know about the symptoms of infection you've been having. I know it's easy to feel like you're making a fuss, or that Covid means you can't go, but that's not true.

Is there someone that can help you with sorting out a PCR test? Is it the journey to the test site that's causing concern for you?

Okay @kl202 I just want to make sure I've understood correctly, do you feel like it's a struggle to register with a GP? Can we help with the other problems?

You can get a PCR test delivered to your home address here: https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test

I can really understand it being hard work, if you have a strong gag reflex it can feel very uncomfortable. Do you think you'd be able to do a test at home, or do you need someone to swab for you? Have you told your GP how uncomfortable it makes you feel?

There are some LFTs that only require you to swab your nose @kl202, and the NHS website says the following regarding someone else doing the tonsil swab for a PCR test:
If you cannot swab their tonsils, you can swab both nostrils instead. The test result may be less accurate than a nose and a tonsil swab.
Would that be a possibility do you think?
