Hi I've applied to start a 4 week full time college course and been accepted it starts in 2 weeks.
I'm on ESA and also PIP and I'm in the support group of ESA I also receive severe disability premium.
The college course is full time 30 hours a week.
How will this affect my ESA ?
Thanks

Hi, I don’t think it will affect your ESA as I have known people to be full time students and claim ESA
I hope this helps0 -
Thanks poppy this puts me at ease0

Hi,Are you saying it's just for 4 weeks or was that an error? Either way, full time students can continue with their ESA claim but if there's a maintenance loan available to you then this will affect your Income Related benefits. Even if it is for just 4 weeks, you should report this to DWP just to be on the safe side. Providing it doesn't contradict the reasons you're claiming ESA there shouldn't be a problem.0

SteveDarnell said:If you are attending a full-time college, then you may need to report it to the DWP, I would look for similar posts on the Internet, or you can probably find out from the college itself. But in any case, you can apply for an ESA.
You've commented on a thread that's 8 months old. As the OP course was only for 4 weeks, as was advised at the time, it wouldn't affect their ESA. Not sure what you mean by "you can apply for an ESA"
