It would appear that the DWP are in trouble yet again

Yes, contrary to government policy, SoS has stubbornly refused to publish a reported DWP commissioned (which all taxpayers have therefore helped to pay for) and the Committee has exercised its power to demand a copy with the intention of publishing it themselves. Whether or not it will actually tell us anything useful is another matter.

@calcotti.
I would actually agree with your last statement.
The last time the DWP were investigated was 2018 I think ?
Obviously nothing good came from it as the DWP are still continuing to act as if nothing happened. -
-
The above survey has not been closed as of yet ,I'm not sure if doing the survey at this late stage would help ?
But it might make more people take notice as the DWP appears to want it swept under the carpet. -
@calcotti.
I'm not sure how to add Web links as I'm a newcomer to this site.
Thank you for the assist.

Assuming you're using a mobile, do you know how to copy links when you're using a browser on your mobile device @brianwoods?
If so, then you should just be able to paste that straight onto the community. On my phone, I can do this by holding my finger down in the text box, and then selecting 'paste' -
And this

@Tori_Scope,
Yes to the mobile as I can't really use a mouse as it occasionally goes in the wrong direction accidentally "shaky hands" thank you for the tip -
@calcotti
Pleased to get the links,very unhappy when I looked them up!!!
What the heck is going on ? I was under the impression that the DWP works for the UK Government who in turn is supposed to look after the best interests of the country and its people and not treat people like s##t .
Mind you saying that when I was a serving soldier way way back I left the military with PTSD and lifelong depression!! Didn't get much help then so I should of expected this.

I am wondering what .Gov is doing with all the money they are saving ??
It's either paying for the covid outbreak which they "allowed" to spread across the U.k or they have another war going on to pay for ???
And no I'm not a political animal just seen this sort of thing going on for to long and nobody appears to be doing much about it ?
-
Hmmm I have just read that the UK has a deficit of £323 billion !!
So presumably people who claim any kind of state benefit are getting hit over the head with a really big stick
to cover the shortfall ? -
The deficit is just on this years "current account" meanwhile the country's debt has risen to £2.2 trillion and counting, a debt which is double what they inherited despite promising in 2010 to wipe out the deficit by 2015 and start paying down the debt, laughable really.2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡

@calcotti.
Demonstrating how to get your point across without saying a lot.
Really well done 👏
Shame I cannot say the same about the performance of those in Government.
And shame on them for doing thing's this way.
