I think it’s the right decision if it’s done properly. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-60123850

At this point it feels as though some new information is coming out daily about a new gathering or party that happened during the early lockdowns. Interested to see where this goes0
-
I just think it’s disgusting that they were hammering us with the rules and guidelines, expecting us to check daily especially as things were changing quite quickly, the bit I laughed at the most was when Boris said he “wasn’t told it was xyz”. Well I’m sorry but he should of checked like the rest of us had to!0

Yes, some of the explanations so far have been quite baffling to say the least @MarkM88, I think the report from Sue Gray (forgive me if I've got the wrong name or misspelt it) is due out towards the end of this week so that will probably be one to look out for.

@Ross_Scope it would have been a very interesting read, however it’s been confirmed it’s going to be delayed - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-601238500

Be intresting the outcome, I can't help feel it will all be brushed under the carpet.0

It will all just yet brushed under the carpet
All those who were prosecuted and fined for breach of rules should be refunded1 -
I agree I couldn't go and see my mum who had a brain aneurysm and got couldn't walk or talk for 3 months thankfully back to her old self

Boris welcomes the met investigation, of course he does, it delays everything for weeks, long enough for the heat to be turned down from his own party. The public outrage will also subside I’ve no doubt and Boris will remain PM. The Russians are also helping in that regard, unknowingly of course, the situation in the Ukraine gives Boris something to distract everyone with. As @woodbine said “smoke and mirrors”!
Some politicians make me sick to the stomach. Today Rees Mogg says “brilliant leadership” according to sky news. Unbelievable. I just hope voters remember this at the next local elections and beyond.2 -
i say throw the book at them!
why should the general public follow the rules and do everything we was told, if those in power cant follow their own rules?

He should resign now before he gets kicked out1
-
He won't resign he will get kicked out by his own party0
-
Be better if he resigns rather than being kicked out at least he will gain more respect as it shows he has taken responsibility1
-
This sue grey is not releasing the investigation outcomes now till police have done their bit. To me he's just tying himself in knots every time he speaks. Not just with the party's.0

There all as bad as each other I don't watch news no more0
-
the news wouldnt be so bad if there was some good news. these days its very doom and gloom. after a very stressful period in our lives, we need something positive!0
-
Mike it's been on the news it is being delayed untill Monday0
-
Mike only repeated what was said on the Welsh News that the report was delayed until Monday another report said it was delayed until after the police have investigated but hey ho that's politics for you0
-
When I posted my second link above it actually was to a BBC news article that said it had been delayed until after the police investigation. Now it appears the link takes you to a different news article. All I can think is the original article was wrong and got updated after I posted about it.0
-
It was news channels that said it was delayed until the police did their investigation. On political news that I read today it was due out yesterday but didn't meet the deadline, now saying end of the week or next week.0
-
I heard it on news and on peston show last night it was going to be delayed0
