Hi all.
I crushed my back 14 months ago wich I had to have major back surgery done and has left me with with paralysis to my left leg, butt, and back on my one side. My water works is horrible now and pain well is bloody awful. My mental state is not to clever at all.
I have had my interview for limited work capability and have passed with no fixed date to be assessed again.
U have had my pip interview with I bases on the same as my LWC interview all the same assessed questions.
When I got my results from my interview the lady has scored me differently to what I stated.
Mobility I passed 12 points plus but for my other one she has scored me incorrectly to what I stated.
Don't get me wrong I'm bloody grateful of the extra help I'm getting as it takes some pressure of my mental state.
I used my head and asked for a recorded interview as I had read so many horror stories regarding centria who took my interview.
My question is should I ask for DWP to relook at my scores as to my calculations I should of scored way higher on the first part.
Cooking,washing,toileting,dressing
These was all scored differently to what I stated in interview.
Apologies for this massive post and for my poor grammar
Chris

Hi,The assessment is not their for them to write what you said verbatim. It's for them to gather more evidence to support your claim. They then write a report, which is their opinion based on everything you sent and what you said during the assessment. A recording of the assessment isn't going to get you a PIP award. The work capability assessment and PIP are 2 different benefits, with different criteria. People claim PIP and work. The report isn't a decision and they don't score you any points. They make recommendations only, which is why the points are not added up in the report.Have you actually had the decision yet or are you just purely going by the report?

I have had the decision I got higher rate mobility but lower rate living.
I told her I am unable to cook. This u stated as I do not as my mobility is poor very poor. She scored me as using aids to help me. This is incorrect.
My washing of myself she scored incorrect as I stated I have my wife's assistance, she did not score for this.
She said I have no problems going out on my own this was also incorrect. As I stated the only time I went out on my own I lost control of my bladder in a taxi and he kicked me out demanded money and laffed at me. From that point on I would not go out without my wife's assistance as I do not won't to be in that position again.
This was stated many many times.

Whether you will score more points for preparing a simple meal will totally depend on how your conditions affect you. Telling them you're unable to cook will not score you higher points. If you're unable to use an aid such as a perching stool, why doesn't that aid help you? What's the reason why you're unable to cook? Poor mobility will not score you any points here because a perching stool can be used for sitting while completing this activity. How many points did you score for dressing/undressing? Do you need assistance for the upper body or are you unable to dress at all? If so then why is assistance needed? You mention going out, are you talking about following and planning a journey? If so then you've already got Enhanced mobility so scoring more points will not give you a higher award for the mobility part, Enhanced is the highest award.First thing you need to do is get some expert advice to see if more points can be scored for Enhanced daily living. As you have already been awarded Enhanced Rate Mobility even if you wish to challenge the Daily Living part you should say nothing about Mobility even if you disagree with some of the statements in the decision letter. If you raise any Mobility issues it is an invitation for them to look at the Mobility award again and as you cannot gain from this it isn't something you want (or need) them to do.0
