I have applied for pip because I have spondylitis which causes me chronic pain every day . Don't go out much because of my pain and my weight at 220 pounds . My doctor's says I need to try and do a little . But just lately I have had other issues with pain in lower left of body been to hospital about . I don't find life that easy . I feel trapped as I know there is a car on my estate watching your every move a Micra car DWP . Lol so it's like catch 22 I do need to try and get out of my flat but then the worries of if this car sees me . I am like a prisoner in my own home . And I have x-rays as regards my back issues take pain killers every day just so I can function . I worked hard most my life and this is the way the government make me feel ..some times I don't know how I go on .it really gets me down .

Hi and welcome to the community
I would like to reassure you that the dwp will not have the resources to have a car watching you just in case you go out
They only do surveillance if there has been a reported fraud and then 8t would only br for a couple of days not continuing
You can go out when receiving pip it d9esnt mean you have to be a 0r8soner in your home
I'm sorry for the pain you are in but please don't think you are being watched
8f concerned 4eport the car to the police so they can investigate0 -
Hello @ollie777
Welcome to the community, thank you for posting and telling us a bit about your situation.
Is there anything that has given you the feeling that the car outside is one from the DWP? It must not be pleasant feeling as though you are being watched, so I can understand your hesitance to go outside. Perhaps you could ask a friend or family member to approach the car with you to have a conversation with whoever may be inside? That could help to ease your worries about it.
Regarding your mental health, are you in contact with your GP about this? Is it something you receive support to manage?0 -
The car parks on our estate with a women in it . She moves the car around the estate throughout the week parking in different layby each time . Sits in the car for hours just watching people and has-been seen with camera . She is watching local people taken video and notes . I am 52 years old I don't drink I don't do drugs so not paranoid. Just not silly . If I would had known applying for pip would set stuff like this in motion I would had not applied. It just makes you very paranoid . As if you see the car local she may glance at you . Which of course makes you feel great anxiety and would make you feel trapped . I think the next time I see the car I'll take the plate if I can and report it to the police as regards there are laws to protect the public . As I know online it says they watch you if you have applied for pip. . I don't get it pip .
I think it's just the whole way your made to feel on UC . I am in the limited capabilities to work group . But even just after Christmas I had them on my case about would I like to work from home . I said no as regards my health and the fact I had to go into hospital for a sigmoidoscopy. I have enough problems with my health yet the UC still ring you up trying to push you into some kind of a job . It's like I said to the women on the phone I have health issues and I don't know if I'll even be hear in the future . And problems I need to try and get fixed I don't need this stress or anxiety. Going for a scan thing soon to try and find out what my body is fighting as my calprotectin level came back high . Which just adds to my level of anexity. I wish the government could see what they do to people who have genuine issues with there health. I don't care about the pip thing now . Just thought it may make my life a little better . They cut your UC money so can't afford to drive to local shops so with spondylitis and other stomah issues I have to try and get there for my food . I used my food money this month to go into hospital for my sigmoidoscopy. Have a week to go no money . Hospital want to see me for ultra sound but can't go as I can't afford to get there . That's how tight money is . If only the government could see what it's like not even being able to afford to get into hospital. Sorry about this but it's how it makes me feel . I have tryed to help myself I applied for pip about 4 months ago . I don't hold out for any hope . Sorry to sound so dispondent. But they just don't get it . I wish I was never on UC and I wish I never tryed to get pip . If I had one wish I would wish that my health would get better . But I know it won't . So I have to live with pain .
Talk about being so insensitive to a situation as regards just after Christmas I went into hospital to have my lower bowl checked to make sure no cancer . Because I had bleeding and pain And the universal credit people ringing me up trying to see if I would work from home . My stomach issues are on going and sent back to my local GP. . . ..0 -
Do you really think the DWP go and follow every single person that applies? Why would they?0

Signing off now people because even trying to talk about how I feel . Just causes myself stress and anxiety. It's a sad world when you check outside your own front door to see if your building is being watched . And your money cut so can't afford to drive to shops in car so you have to walk to shops in pain . Not because you won't to but because you have to That's my life in a nutshell .
The UK government has done this to me and many others . Eg if your money cut can't afford fuel to drive to shops . So you have to eat so you have no other option but to try to walk to shops in pain. So once again catch 22 situation..
Final thoughts are I just hope stuff gets better.
Sorry about my texts but just needed to say how I feel at the moment .0
