I have received a copy of the assessment report and she states 0 points in her opinion. Can I challenge the report before I even receive a decision letter? Is this allowed and also can I add more evidence to help my case?

Hi,This is what happens when you request the report, it causes more anxiety than you may have already been experiencing. The report is not the decision, it's a recommendation. It makes up part of your evidence which is the assessment providers opinion based on everything you sent and what you said during the assessment. Before the decision is made the decision maker will look at everything you sent and the report. It has been known for them to go against the report. There's no harm in sending more evidence but before you do, you need to ask yourself will it help? Does the evidence you have specifically state exactly how your conditions affect you? If it's medical evidence you have then mostly it usually tells them the basics like diagnosis, medication etc both of which doesn't help. You can put in a complaint to the health assessment providers if you're not happy with the report, details how to do this will be on their wedsite.Once the decision's been made if you're not happy you can request the Mandatory Reconsideration (MR)0

Thanks @poppy123456 for the quick reply. I will look into complaining on the website as it looks like she copied and pasted most of her answers in each section and just altered it to each category. Couple of lies and no reference at all to me crying on the phone and states my functioning health was great.Has anyone ever had 0 points recommend and actually been given award?0

@Username_removed sorry if I offended you that wasn’t my intention.I am not looking to prove someone lied I am looking for help on if I can challenge discrepancies before a decision is made. I my have worded what I meant wrong.
By discrepancies I mean I cried during the call and it states I was calm and different things like this. The copy and pasting back fires at time because in the mobility part of my form it states personal information relevant for bathing/dressing section and nothing to do with mobility. Thanks for your reply have a nice night.0 -
Thanks I will do that, also thanks for putting into perspective that I would be wasting my time and focus my energy else where.0

Hello @hannah9229
Welcome to the community and thanks for making your post, sorry to hear that the report wasn't pleasant reading and that you feel as though it wasn't an accurate reflection of your assessment and what you said.
I hope that the suggestions above from other members have been helpful and that, in the event that the DM goes along with the assessment's recommendations, it helps you with putting together a MR.
I have moved your discussion over to our PIP category, which has plenty of other discussions relating to this specific area of PIP, so you might find it helpful to have a read through that section to see if you can find some related discussions to get involved with.
Blimey... that happened?Username_removed said:If you can show an absolutely irrefutable error - my fave example is “made good eye contact” for someone who is blind and has zero perception of light - then a complaint may have some merit .0 -
