Smiling from ear to ear....

Just got home from spending the past 4 hours with @chiarieds and oh my goodness me, what a lovely person she is! She's even more sweeter in the flesh than i imagined she would be.

I must admit i was very nervous this morning when i left home to meet her and her family. I recognised her as soon i seen her, even though she had a face covering on. As polite as she always is, she asked me if she could hug me and of course i said she could.

My daughter was with me and we met her son and daughter in law too, who are also such lovely people.

Lunch was on me which we had at Costa, followed by more talking. My daughter even gave her a hug when we said goodbye and my daughter doesn't usually hug people.

I'm truly honoured to call her my dear friend. Thank you @chiarieds for a wonderful day! I'm sure we will meet again very soon!

Thank you everyone for your kind words, & also those of my dear friend @poppy123456 She gave me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers, which was such a lovely surprise. After coffee my son & his wife went for a wander, & Poppy was so considerate & caring, & treated me to lunch.

My son did wonder if she'd kidnapped me, as we were so busy talking I missed that he'd rung me a few times to see where we were!

it really was great to meet her & her lovely daughter, & I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you for everything Poppy, & I look forward to the next meeting.

Aww such a sweet and refreshing story. I am so pleased you both had a great day and it sounds like this will be a friendship for life.

Thank you too, @MarkM88 - it really was lovely to meet Poppy, as I was sure it would be. I was a little nervous too just before meeting, but I don't know why! It's quite hard to put into words how much it meant to 'eventually' meet her, & it was hugs all around when we parted. My son & his wife were delighted we'd had a good time, & are happy to help us meet again.

@Justcheckingin15 - I had absolutely no hesitation in meeting Poppy, tho we both had slight nerves in doing so, & yes, probably due to much excitement too. Poppy has been a dear friend for a long time, & it was absolutely great to meet her & her daughter. I'm privileged to have her as such a dear friend, as she always will be.
