hello, I made my claim on 26/10/21. I had a telephone call the lady asked me two questions and told me she was sending my case to the people who make the decisions she also said some people have received Their decision within 2 weeks. I got the DWP text message the day after… 09/02/22.
I’m not alarmed at the two questions as my claim form was very detailed. Anyone in same boat? I’m fed up of this wait. It’s nothing but a added stress to what is already stressful enough

I sent a Mandatory Reconsideration in, in December and still haven't received a decision, I called PIP yesterday and they told me there's back logs and I should receive a decision by the Middle of March at the latest. it's different for each area I guess.Justine1987 said:hello, I made my claim on 26/10/21. I must admit, your claim has been extremely quick. We have members on here still waiting after applying as long as 9 months ago. Your report has been returned and there's nothing more you can do but wait for the decision, which can take between 2-12 weeks.

That's really fast. My husband's renewal form was sent back before his deadline last June. Not a new claim but the process is pretty much the same. The current award ends in 21 days - I made my own post about it recently. I was lied to by the call centre about payments not stopping if the delay continues past the end date, and DWP are yet to respond to my email so our MP is now getting involved. It's great that your claim was processed so quickly. It must be a weight off your mind.0

Hi @Justine1987 I'm sorry to hear you're feeling stressed about the wait, what sort of things do you do to relax? Do you have any coping methods, like breathing exercises or meditation?
If you can try to distract yourself, fill your time with things you enjoy instead.
Please do keep us updated with how you get on, fingers crossed you'll know more soon enough. Remember we're here to support you whatever the outcome
