I’m so happy writing this right now as I’ve read so many negative things with pip.
I applied in August last year.
got my assessment 2weeks ago, for anxiety depression and fibro,
when the dwp got my written assessment back it took them one day to make there decision, as I received the letter today and it’s got the date of the next day after I received the text from dwp, First time applying got enhanced rate for both Daily living and mobility! Thought I’d write my success as you only see negative ones!x

That's great @dollsky Thank you for letting us know, as we always like to hear about positive outcomes!
Are you happy with the award length, too? -
Well Done @dollsky, You must have gave a good account of yourself .👏
-
Yes I just explained how it effects me! On my worst days! And yes got all backdated from when I called them. Happy with the outcome.

Great news. However, concentrating on your worst days is not good at all and is potentially the worst thing anyone can do. PIP is how your conditions affect you at least 50% of the time, so you should tell them all your days.If any members read this then please dont concentrate purely on your worst days.dollsky said:Yes I just explained how it effects me! On my worst days!I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Completely agree with Poppy - with PIP, saying how you are on your worst days isn't correct, it's how you are the majority of the time, i.e. 50% or more of the time.
-
The assessor asked me I just told them the truth, just tell them exactly how you feel, I’m the same most days but I do get worse over time, and I passed so I must of done something right.
-
Isn’t like I lied about anything I just answered there questions truthfully
-
And citizens advice gave me some advice me before hand.
-
Your like me why would we need to lie our life’s or mainly worse or we wouldn’t of applied for pip it’s been a long hard struggle to get it I’m glad u did n pip if they hear any good days you do not get awarded sadly

I was in this exact position with my daughter. She turned 16 and I’d heard such bad things of PIP I expected a battle (I’m her appointee). However she got awarded enhanced for both too, and that was just with a written form (I didn’t have anything else to send) and phone assessment. I still believe we have bad assessors etc but the one I spoke to was wonderful. Well done
