    Hello @MichyB,

Welcome to the community, it's lovely to have you here with us.

Firstly, it might be worthwhile looking into our Cerebral Palsy (CP) category, as it's a great place to share experiences in relation to the condition. We also have our in house CP expert @Richard_Scope who might be able to help you with regards to certain community/stimulation centres within the Yorkshire area.

I'm unsure if you can approach the council without a fixed address, but it's probably best to contact them directly and ask them about your queries and concerns.

I hope the above is helpful and please let us know if there's anything else that we can do.

    Hi @MichyB
    Thanks for your posts.

Is the disabled person homeless and in need of mobility equipment, like a wheelchair? I would advise that you make contact with Wakefield Adult Social Care Team by emailing social_care_direct@wakefield.gov.uk or calling 0345 8 503 503
It is important to get a full needs assessment.

Richard_Scope.  Thank you Richard for advise. Yes  very much needs mobility equip & assessment. It is my adult daughter. We are homeless. Most important to find accessible rental. I have been looking & looking. Have applied over & over again for private rentals. Always to be denied. Situations now desperate. We need our own home & Postal code in order to get assessment, mobility equip, transport, benefits, etc..
Have approached Citizens Advice, but no joy there either. Where are all the bungalow rentals???

    Hi @MichyB
How are you and your daughter? Did Wakefield Adult Social Care provide you with a needs assessment?

Hi Richard,.   No joy yet. However we are now in Harrogate. No longer Wakefield. We have been housed in a homeless shelter. Cannot find a private landlord to accept wheelchairs. Council also have a housing problem.
Have written to MP's, to no avail. A 63 yr old widow, caring for a profoundly disabled adult daughter, housed in a Hostel catering for alcoholics & drug addicts, should not be allowed.
    Life is untenable

    Hi @MichyB
That must be enormously stressful for you. Have you been assigned a social worker at all?
