Ukrainian Refugees

Like everyone else I feel sorry for all the Ukrainian people fleeing the war. It is hard to imagine losing your country, especially in that way. I praise the efforts of those trying to help the millions now spread far and wide. But are all the different countries involved thinking about it clearly enough. Everyone believes they will go back home as soon as they can and housing them will be a short time thing. But if Russia continues to systematically destroy the Ukraine and does annex the country, Will they rebuild the country back to what it was? Or will it become like East Berlin once was?
Will they want to go back to that? Will they be able to go back? What will happen if they don't want to, or cannot? They could be millions of people displaced for years to come. In this country the Government will give £350 a month for 6 months if someone takes in a family in for instance, what will happen after that? What will they do if they wanted them to leave after that period, where will they go?

My main concern is the vetting of both the refugee and the household they are placed in

I know this would cause delays but we need to ensure both parties are safeguarded against any abuse

It maybe in place as I've not really researched the topic

I share your concerns @Dragonslayer, this has impacted so many people and the situation with refugees will probably be prominent for a long while to come

This is the problem some countries are already overwhelmed and running out of space to put them will they be in a worse position if this war does come to an end its horrible and very sad
