I've had a notification that I've been awarded LCWRA recently. When I had my injury 10 months ago on top of a pre existing condition  I was sent a form to fill in, the UC50. I'm still on a phased return to work and no way near working my full hours. I did say to the guy that I'd been back at work since July last year but still on a phased return. I need to understand about all of this. I certainly don't want to give up my job but work want me to renegotiate my contract as i still cant do my normal hours. Can someone please explain for me or at least try?
I get some universal credit but it varies depending over the last 8 months how many hours at work I've managed, varies between 0 and 15 to 20  Right now, continuing to work on some days is a struggle but I don't want to stop.
I don't get any housing benefit but get a 25% reduction in housing benefit because I'm single.

You will receive the LCWRA element of £343 extra per month. This paid paid from the 4th month of your claim starting from when you first reported your health condition.
You will also have the work allowance, which means some of your earnings will be ignore before the 55% deductions apply.
If you don't claim for help with your rent in with your UC then your work allowance will be £557 per month, so they will owe you some extra money for this, depending on how much your earnings were each month since you reported your health condition.
It may take them a few weeks to pay you what they owe you. First they will need to recalculate your past statements to work out exactly how much they owe you. Do be aware that once they do this your current statements will be gone and replaced with the new ones. You may want to take screenshots of your current ones.

The 25% single person discount applies to council tax reduction and not housing benefit.
There's no maximum amount of hours you can work while claiming LCWRA.

Now you have LCWRA DWP should go back over your previous payments and recalculate your entitlement. The LCWRA element (£343/month) should be added to your maximum amount. In addition you be entitled to a Work Allowance (assuming you are not getting this already due to having a child on the claim). This means some of your earnings are ignored and therefore the earnings deduction will reduce. The Work Allowance should be applied from when you reported your health condition. The LCWRA element should be added from the fourth month after you reported your health condition.

When UC have recalculated the amounts due new statements will be put on your UC journal. These will replace the existing ones so if you want a record you should download those now. Arrears due will be paid separately from your normal payment and may take a while to calculate.

Help with rent is included in the calculation of your UC entitlement. UC replaced Housing Benefit.

I think you mean Council tax.
