Hi i have autism and anxiety and learning difficulties as well as a wheelchair user and speech problems. My mum has arthritis and is also a wheelchair user. Recently her powerchair broke down. Mine broke down years ago (long story). Mum likes her independence and used her chair to go to the post office and the shop to top up the electric meter. Since her chair broke it has been real tough to sort it out. I beg that if anyone knows anyone in Lancashire who can look at powerchair and go to mum's house who dosent charge too.much to look at and repair the chair i would be really grateful. Please help to get mum independence back

simmyt1996 I just wanted to ask whether your mother's electric wheelchair was provided by the local wheelchair service or did buy the powerchair yourselves?0

Hi thank you all. Mum bought chair herself second hand and paid it weekly. We don't have motabilty i don't know what that is to be honest.0

Motability is a scheme for people on enhanced rate mobility for pip. To lease cars and wheelchairs by surrendering their mobility part of pip payments to pay for a car etc
You should still be able to get a service agreement with someone to repair and maintain your mum's chair just be careful you don't pay a fortune though0 -
