Hi JulieI totally understand there is so much going on in the world at the moment I think a lot of people wonder why and what next, I also believe we must all during all these uncertain times talk more and make each of us feel safe and that we are not all alone All the best Adie1

Thank you all for your kind and warm wishes...Greatly appreciated! xxx
Being new here, Im just trying to find my way around here, how it all works, what, where, how?
Its so nice to know that we are not alone and that we may be able to share what we all feel here, as to be honest, its so expensive to seek professional help these days w.r.t social phobia etc as I feel so isolated and I may be able to express myself here in words to be able to reach out...
Once again, thank you for your time and for the help that I may be able to find here...
It really is very heartwarming to be able to reach out to all of you warm and kindhearted people!
Thank you
Julie

Thank you so much Libby, right now I can only express myself best in words suffering from social phobia and feeling isolated, so Im also busy trying to find my way round here to be able to find work from home and to see how others suffer from social phobia and how best to defeat this issue...

Hi @Julie890
Thanks for reaching out to us. Sorry to hear you are struggling at the moment. As you are hoping to hear other people's experiences with social phobia, you might benefit from posting and reading posts in our category about mental health and wellbeing (https://forum.scope.org.uk/categories/mental-health-issues). I was also wondering if you would like to tell us how you usually manage your social phobia or difficult situations more generally? I have also noticed you are trying to find work from home - what sorts of jobs are you looking for and what websites are you currently trying?
In terms of resources for managing social phobia, some which might be useful include:
- NHS: Social anxiety (social phobia) (https://www.nhs.uk/mental-health/conditions/social-anxiety/)
- Anxiety UK (https://www.anxietyuk.org.uk/anxiety-type/social-anxiety/)
- Mind (https://www.mind.org.uk/information-support/types-of-mental-health-problems/phobias/self-care/)
These resources provide information, tips and emotional support. Please also remember that we are here for you if you would like advice or talk through anything with us further 😊

You are welcome @Julie890. It is the very least you deserve. How has browsing been for you in terms of the forum and jobs? I appreciate that both could feel overwhelming as well as a mixture of other emotions. Please do let us know if there's anything else we can do to support you
