Dose anyone know about Sleeve gastrectomy
My physiotherapist come yesterday it wasn't very good news , they can no longer help me he's basically said I'm going down the route of being bed ridden due to my legs can no longer take my weight , and the amount of pain I'm in through the arthritis he said about getting me referred over to have surgery to lose weight so that I have my knee surgery and hip surgery it's not the news that I wanted but at least I do with my new wheelchair now which help a bit of sweet pill to swallow because if I don't get qualified to this then I will be bedridden can't really get my head around this , anxious scared worried I feel sick I can't sleep I don't know if anyone's been through this or if anyone knows anyone how going for the surgery some advice would be helpful

Hi
I've not been through it myself but my sister in law had weiggr loss surgery
It isn't as simple as just going for the surgery you usually have to go on a weight loss programme first to show your commitment. Also prior a liquid diet to prepare your body think its liver . After surgery a liquid diet then pureed food before you will be able to tolerate solids
Make sure you discuss it all prior and find out what it involves
Her surgery was a great success and has reduced her weight and is now more than half the weight she was . She was then able to have hip and knee surgery
