Good morning everyone. Waiting for a decision is just nerve wreaking! I have rang Pip line at least 2 times in the week and after holding for Neely an hour, get told the same information. Call back next week , file is with decision maker.. this has exasperated my anxiety ten fold and the constant running to the letterbox. It’s coming upto 5 months. Am I thinking into it too much in that if it was refused pip then I would have heard something sooner!

The timescales as advised in your other thread is between 2-12 weeks, sometimes longer. I totally understand just how stressful it is waiting for a decision but there's really nothing more you can do. Ringing them also causes more anxiety in my opinion. Not having a decision yet means nothing other than this and you're just over thinking it. I know it's difficult but please try to think of something else while you wait. If successfully awarded and it's a first time claim, without transferring from DLA money is usually in your bank before you receive the decision letter. Of course, if refused there will be no money in your bank.0
