ESA contribution based. Could this be affected by my partner becoming self employed?

Hi,
I receive ESA contribution based and my partner currently works PAYE. My partner is due to switch jobs soon and is going to be self employed. I have been told this still does not effect my entitlement to my current ESA. Just wanted to double check if that was correct?

I know that my partners income does not effect it currently as it’s contribution based but wondering if being self employed changes that?
Many Thanks ☺️

Self employed earnings are no different to PAYE, they both don't affect the amount of CB ESA you're entitled to because it's not means tested.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
