If I'm entitled to SDP, would it be backdated?

Hello I've been awarded enhanced pip on both, my question is I think I now qualify for sdp on my working tax credits and on my housing benefit, I have a daughter who still lives at home but she's still in education, I was awarded on the 18th March from August 2021and still receiving, if I'm entitled to it will they back date it from August 2021 please, new to all this

Hi,Yes you will be entitled to the extra tax credits and you will need to contact HMRC to report the changes. https://www.entitledto.co.uk/help/severe-disability-element providing you claim within 3 months of the PIP award then it can be backdated to the start of the PIP claim.You should also contact your local Authority to report the changes. Though it doesn't mean you'll automatically be entitled to more housing benefit.
