Submit your meter readings today

Hi all 

Read and submit your gas and electric meter readings today this will ensure you are charged the lower price for any energy you have used since your last reading before the price increases tomorrow 

I am with British gas and got a text this morning to submit mine and Martin Lewis been giving this advice out 

If you are prepay top up by as much as you can afford as you are charged at the rate it was when you top up until the next top up

Yes thank you for correcting me @janer1967, my brain fell asleep momentarily there. I think I had just read another thread that @woodbine definitely started, and after reading this paused to text my partner about submitting a metre reading tonight, came back and confused myself. Apologies

I have a smart meter do I don't submit meter readings I am lucky my friends gad problems

   I read mine at half past midnight on the 1st and it tells me straight away how much I owe, so I paid both gas and electric. My quarterly bill is due on the 12th so  it will be interesting to see how much I'm charged for 11 days
