Hey everyone I’m based near wallington and suffer from dyspraxia and anxiety. I have an amazing family support system but since I lost my dog in December I feel so lost without the normal routine of working him. I’m not ready for a new dog and I’m struggling with my anxiety. I had to leave a online group meeting for phobias so am now on a waiting list to have one on one care. Just feels like my learning disability can’t be seen so it’s not real. Just thought you could suggest some things to maybe fill my time about

Sorry to hear about the loss of your dog @lucyboo, I know we have several dog lovers and owners on the community so I'm sure that they'll understand your pain.

You are more than welcome to take part in the community and get involved with the wide variety of discussions that are going on. We have games in the coffee lounge if that is your thing, and of course you can create your own discussion any time like you have done here.

What sorts of hobbies and interests do you have? I always find that in moments of anxiety, or where I simply just need to pass some time, it's always worth doing something I enjoy that can help me de-stress.

Mind have a self-care page on their website about tips for coping with anxiety, so you might find it useful to give that a read.

What kind of music do you enjoy listening to, @lucyboo

I used to do a bit of colouring, but didn't get into it that much. I did a few paint by numbers last year, which I really enjoyed. I also like doing puzzles, and have done dot to dots in the past too!

I know it might be tricky with your anxiety, but have you considered doing any volunteering at all? That might help to reintroduce some structure back into your life.
