    details in the link below, although I find it useless sending a 65  year old on such a scheme;

    Oh gawd not another new name for the new deal gimmick  :D

    Ive heard they are quite aggressive with appointments as well, ie they say they are mandatory which sounds a lie for a scheme you technically asked to be enrolled on (they make it sound as if you have no choice which is lie number 1 to start it off to begin with). And they have the power to raise doubts on the enrolleds claim which is just... im speechless at that one  :(

    They say its mandatory to attend restart scheme appointments. A bloke I know has said they send letters threatening if they dint attend without good reason your benefits will be effected

    since when has a 3rd party company dealing with a scheme enrollment from the job centre had the power to rause doubts much less threaten such a thing?

    Its ridiculious

    Hello.
    Iam also going to a restart meeting 1st July.. At my local office..
    I have a doctors fit note until the end of August.for a spondylosis vertebrae condition.. How can this government  aided office overturn my GP fit note and say until I have had my assessment done I have to attend the interview and courses and look for work.?
    Some days iam in so much pain with my condition I can't get out of bed.. So iam hoping that they will understand my condition and not sanction me for this.. 😒 If I can't get to their meetings..
    Iam 63 and this condition will not get any better.. So why are they making me do this!!
    I do hope you get yourself some answers.. With your conditions.
    I have worked all my life until my prognosis a few years ago..
    I do worry that the restart scheme is making me feel very anxious about looking for a new job and shouldn't be forced onto looking or a sanction is issued 😒

    Please make sure you don't not turn up because you can get sanctioned if it is in your commitments to attend @Summer_27. Speak to your work coach and see what they say, explain more about your condition and ask to speak to disability specialist and see if they can at least move the date so hopefully you can get WCA assessed first

    Just going through it myself, 61 years old born disabled and on pip as well as UC, 4 times a week but you only need face to face 1 out of every 4 the rest are phone calls, personally I find them useless, full of pointless information and ridiculous advice, they will try and get you to do anything even if you medically cant or have no experience, it gets them a bonus, they ask you for personal financial information that they have no legal right to ask for and basically dont have a clue about the job they are doing in my situation any way, good luck with it and I hope they treat you better than they are treating me.
