I am just wondering what peoples favourite cheese is?
I have a new favourite, it's called Baron Bigod. It's an English soft cheese. It is a bit like brie but creamier and a slightly different taste. Picture below:

I've not really explored soft cheeses very much, I have to say, that one looks quite strong?
Mature or very mature cheddar is always a favourite, when I was younger I really liked Edam too. I also like Halloumi, Manchego, and Mozzarella too0 -
That looks like my type of cheese
I like brie , Cheshire, wendsleydale , white Stilton , mozzarella and feta0 -
@Alex_Scope I'd say it's medium, not super strong. Soft cheeses are nice and I would recommend giving them a try, however I think they can be an acquired taste so some people may not like them. Definitely worth trying though.
@janer1967 They are all lovely cheeses. I like feta cheese with tomato slices and a bit of black pepper0 -
I love feta in a salad0
-
Yes me too definitely especially in summer0
-
I like cheese and onion pie or pasty or quiche
You get feta in a lot of tapas dishes as well if you find a good tapas restaurant0 -
I’ve never been to a tapas restaurant, I might have to look out for one in the future!0

Well you learn something new about cheese every day.....that's another I hadn't heard about. I have recently become somewhat addicted to Boursin with garlic & herbs.I also like a fairly mature cheddar, Red Leicester, Edam, Emmental, Jarslberg, & Mozzarella0

All nice cheeses @chiarieds, I also like Boursin but have to be careful with it as it’s easy to finish off a whole one in one go!0

Looks delicious @66Mustang0

It tastes as good as it looks0

I like Cornish Yarg - it comes wrapped in nettles and is creamy and lemony in flavour - refreshing and delicious

Mmm, you're all making me hungry for some cheese! I love Boursin too @chiarieds, especially on some fresh, crusty bread.
I haven't heard of that one either @66Mustang, but I like brie so I'll have to give it a go. Can you buy it in supermarkets?0 -
@Tori_Scope it’s quite a specialist cheese, I think they call it an “artisan cheese”. I’ve seen it in farm shops but not in supermarkets. You can also buy it online.0

I'll have to have a look online, or find a farm shop near me @66Mustang!0
