Sallyann56 said: Thank you.I've just been for blood tests. The taxi dropped me right outside. I'd taken a combination of painkillers, but when I came out to wait for the taxi, I had to sit on the wall and sat there in pain. I now feel sick from the tablets. I just feel I should have got at least something for my mobility as that's affecting me most. The chemist is just on the corner but I couldn't walk that far, then wait for my pills, then stand and wait for a taxi!I'll need help to appeal it so will get help. It's just so unfair that some people get it but genuine people can't!

No one knows exactly how anyone's conditions affect them and you simply can't judge a book by its cover. Please don't compare others to yourself. Very few people claim PIP fraudulently.

She walks all day when she takes her kids to the seaside or on pub crawls

The most unfair is your last comment. It so unfair to say other claimants are not genuine. That prejudice has no place here in Scope. I hope Admin will do something about this.

She walks all day when she takes her kids to the seaside or on pub crawls She may not be claiming PIP for any physical conditions. There's such a thing as invisible conditions and lots of people have them. People claim mobility PIP and can walk perfectly fine because following and planning a journey is also part of mobility. I'm sorry but i said it before and will say it again, you shouldn't compare yourself to someone else.
poppy123456 said: Then report her! It's disgusting comparing yourself to someone else. Just because you know her, it doesn't mean you know every single thing about her conditions and how they affect her. PIP isn't awarded based on any diagnosis, what matters is how those conditions affect you against the 12 PIP activies.
Alex_Scope said: Hi @Sallyann56 have you spoken to your GP about taking the combination of painkillers, and how it made you feel?I'm glad the resources I've linked will be helpful for you, and I can appreciate that it doesn't always feel fair when we don't get what we feel we are entitled to.It can be helpful not to compare yourself to others, as you can never be sure what their individual situation and circumstances are. Other people's applications have no impact or influence on your own, so it's better to focus on giving yourself the best chance at appealing the DWP decision, with the right support and guidance. If you feel we can help support you in appealing the decision, then please do ask if you have questions.
