Lcwa and how it is backdated

Hi me again, I've been found to have lcwra at my tribunal, the question I have is how do they work out how it is backdated? My original sick notes began back in may 2020, my liability for work assessment was done in September 2020, I've just appealed and won the appeal for this which I was then awarded lcwra but the appeal date was October 2021. So I'm wondering how they work it out and how much I could potentially be expecting to receive. Thank you in advance ☺️

There's a full 3 month assessment period waiting time from when you first reported your health condition. It's then paid from the 4th month of your claim. If you sent your first fit note in May 2020 then the LCWRA element should be paid from either Sept or Oct 2020. The exact date will depend on what date you first reported your health condition and the dates of your assessment periods.0

So considering we are now in 2022 they will backdate it that far back? And do they work it out from the first fit note or the date that I put in the capability for work assessment 🤔 I am aware there is the 3 month waiting period where nothing is paid but I'm trying to work out a rough estimate of what I will be awarded. Thank you 😊0
