Hello everyone

I want to so I can give me a little bit more advice I have previously done a few threads

just asking for more advice if possible

so yesterday I managed to call PIP and I went through the automated line

and it told me I’m due a payment on the 24th of May of £345.60 if this is the case will I receive any backpay if I’ve been awarded as I’ve not received anything or heard any updates yet just what the automated line said

I have not heard anything or had any taxes or any letters regarding this so I’m not too sure

what’s going on can anyone advise me on this

Much appreciate

If successfully awarded then any money that's owed is paid separately to your usual 4 weekly money. If it's first time claim and you're not transferring from DLA then money is usually received before the letter.

@poppy123456 Also one more question if that is okay I’m just wondering do you roughly know how long I’ll wait for a letter now or is it still the standard 8 to 12 weeks

    As advised here..
money is usually received before the letter.

Some members have said they've rang the new automated line and been told their next payment is X date, without receiving any backdated money up to that point. I recall some months ago that a member had the same thing but the payment line had given incorrect information.
Once the decision's been made they will pay you what's owed and send a decision letter at the same time. BACS transfer of funds go into your bank 3-5 working days after they're sent. A letter from DWP can take a couple of weeks to arrive.
Nothing more you can do but wait. There's no timescales.

Theres no automated helpline, it’s just a helpline. The number you rang is correct. Lines are open between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.

Do they always tell you on this automated line your payment dates and amounts if you have been awarded something

It has been known to give incorrect information so I wouldn’t rely on it.

Hi i made a claim to pip on in Febuary. Did not have any assessment. Got a quick call feom assessment providor and she sent the report to DWP. The following week i recived a text from GP they want to talk to me about my pip form. I recived a text from DWP i have been awarded pip. I called them the same day and the automated service mentioned i will get £107 on 12 June. Does this mean i have only awarded the lower rate mobility
