Hia
I had a few weeks ago a PIP Review form I had to fill in. A few days later I had the most horrendous attack of Gout in my R dominant hand.
Rang DWP explained the situation, surprisingly they were quite decent.
Extended deadline by another four weeks.
I asked the CAB if they would help complete my application.
My grammar and vocabulary is not too good.
Anyhow I posted the application last week.

I am expecting a phone call assessment.
I am nervous about this. I would prefer a face to face assessment, because my needs and disability has got worse and I want to show them how it has got worse.
Could folks who have had a telephone assessment, please elaborate what it was like. Were they pushy, rushy.
More importantly did you get the deserved award.
Personally I cannot see how an assessment can justify a person disability.
Thanks
P.S. I have no technology. My most expensive technology is this phone.
It cannot take visual calls

Most people have assessments, even for reviews so you should expect one of those. This could either be face to face or telephone. Sometimes they do video calls but if this is the option they give you then just ring the health assessment providers and tell them you can do that and why. Not everyone can complete a video call.I had a telephone assessment for my daugher, which i completed for her. It was for the work capability assessment but the process is still the same. It was ok and the person that did it was friendly enough. The only difference of course is they can't see you so they can't complete the visual part of the assessment.Waiting times for assessment could potentially be several months so don't start to panic if you don't hear anything anytime soon.1

Hi @oldngrumpy
Good to know you have filled in the form and sent it off.
My telephone assessment experience wasn't very good at all.
I felt I was rushed, talked over,he was finishing my sentences, not allowing me to speak.at one point he laughed and appeared to be friendly. Made jokes about worldly affairs, his favourite dish. When I needed a moment to answer or gather my thoughts of a question he asked I was rushed.
"What can u do most days ..but u can do this most days can't you?"
He Even added a complete lie about communication descriptor that I never even said.
My advice is to take it slow. If u need to ask them to repeat a question, say can you please repeat this.
Don't feel pressured. Work at your own pace. If u need a break take a break
Also remember there is no such thing as a average day as everyday is different.
Good luck I hope u get the award you deserve1
