Received written assessment report. Does the DM normally go with the assessor's report?

I requested my written assessment report for pip accordingly to this the assessor has scored me 11 points for daily living and 8 points for mobility and a recommendation it gets reviewed in 2 yrs! Although I understand this is not the actual decision as it’s the DM that has the final say which I am still waiting on a decision from the dwp

does the Dm normally go with the assessors? Or could this still change!

Before a decision is made they look at all evidence as well as the assessment report. Usually they do go with the report but it has been know for them to go against it.

I rang call centre today and she said to check my bank on Mon and should have descsion next week why would I have to check my bank if a descsion hasn't been made yet it's really confusing

I wonder if she meant decision letter. I’m told payment tends to come before the letter. Best of luck!

Your question was answered on your other thread here. https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/comment/509074#Comment_509074
I realise it's stressful waiting for a decision but there's nothing more you can do. Ringing PIP all the time only increases your anxiety. Please try to think of something else.
If a decision hasn't already been made then you won't have the money in your bank on Monday because it takes 3-5 working days for it to go into your bank. Today is Friday already.

That's what I thought as well I don't understand why she even said that tbh like I said it's really confusing sometimes especially if a descsion hasn't been made yet so I have no need to check my bank I am fully aware it takes 3/5 days to go into account

I don't no either because she said no descsion had been made yet but to check my bank on Monday and should have descsion within next week like I said it's very confusing tbh

Remember you're ringing a call centre and sometimes they tell you things you "want" to hear but really they have no idea when a decision will be made. Once a decison's been made, it takes 24 hours for them to be able to see that on the system anyway.

Very confusing!. I’m waiting on a decision too. The wait is making me quite anxious lol. Fingers crossed not much longer for us to wait

Hello @beth1973Champagne:) Thank you for reaching out. I think the DM does take the assessor's report into consideration, and they will probably be influenced by this. Although nothing is guaranteed, and maybe they might decide to reduce points. Overall, your PIP assessment report appears promising so far. Best wishes
