Hi, my name is JennyBHurll! I've struggled to find a wheelchair accessible hairdresser

I agree about non accessibility. The latest fashion for backwash sinks with attached, imm moveable chairs is a disaster for wheelchair users. After over 50 phone calls over 3 days I think I may have found one hairdresser (Daniel Galvin in Selfridges) that say they have retained one sink with a moveable chair so that I can back my wheelchair up to it and get my hair washed/coloured. Otherwise. Even hairdressers that have ramp access cannot do my hair because of these new sinks. Help!!!!

I'm really sorry to hear that you've been struggling to find an accessible hairdresser. That sounds like a bit of a nightmare! I hope that the hairdresser you've found ends up working out.
I'm not one to get my hair done (I just go in for the occasional dry trim!), so sorry if this is a silly question, but would it be possible to get the wash/colour done at your home at all, or at the home of a hairdresser?0
