Hi, my name is weedavy! What does my assessment being 'under review' mean?

hi i had my assesment and got a msg from DWP on 5 may saying they had my assesment n I should hear from them within 8 weeks I phoned this morn 15 of may for update the guy was nice but said its under review what does that mean sorry just havnt a clue how this works

Hi,It just means a decision hasn't been made yet and it's probably with a decision maker. You don't say which benefit this is for but i assume possibly PIP? Either way, decision timescales are anything up to 12 weeks, rather than the 8 weeks you were told.Nothing more you can do until a decision's been made.1

Your case will be waiting for a decision maker to review everything and make a decision
This can take from 2 to 12bweeks you will be notified by letter of the outcome of the decision1 -

Thanks everyone yeh it's for pip poppy il tell you how I got on when I know outcome I had a heart attack n died but got bk round in October I also have severe anxiety problems yrs ago I was on DLA then they changed to pip and I got put off so I just resigned myself to esa only since my heart attack workers have put in for pip anyway I've rambled on TC all n thanks0
