Medical need cases

How on earth do you prove a medical need case for a piece of equipment, to the necessary proof of a Council?
Every bit of evidence we provide is completely rubbished or misinterpreted by people whose main motivation is saving money.

@Ross_Scope we have had 2 letters written by a Consultant who has repeatedly treated my wife AND I but they are STILL sticking with negative responses. It's like playing a game where you are given no rules that you are supposed to play by.

What is it you are asking for? And what have the council actually said?

@MarkM88, we are looking to replace a shower with an adapted bath with a hoist. The Council are not willing to even look at a Disability Facilities Grant or any discretionary form of funding. This leaves us having to find £8,800 from charitable and crowd funding. We have currently raised 2,540.

Hi @Teddybear12, the Council fitted the Wetroom when our flat, was a common room for a small flat based sheltered housing area. It had a large Wetroom fitted help help the elderly residents. We inherited it when we moved in. The Council are refusing purely on money grounds.

Over the past few hours, I have been rereading the information that our local Council sent us this morning about the above situation. My wife and I found a massive inaccuracy in the Council's argument. I have just asked for a review of the decision not to fund at all.
