I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Since march I've had terrible pain, I mean something I have never had before and it doesn't feel like my normal fibro pain. The bottom of my feet are hurting, the palms of my hands, my wrists, shoulders and knees. I could hardly lay on my bed because it hurt so much. I'm so stiff and struggling to stand because of my foot pain. Even sitting the pain is there. Last night my feet swelled and this morning I couldn't get my rings on my fingers. I rang my gp and she did some bloods. They came back with b12 deficiency, ESR raised and white blood cells raised. The arthritis results are not back yet. Do these symptoms sound like fibro or RA.

    Hello @Broreb1981

Thanks for making this post, and sorry to hear about what you have been going through. It's good that you have had tests to try and determine what is causing some of what you are going through, and I hope you are receiving enough support to manage your fibro. FMA UK is always an option if you ever want to get in touch with an organisation who could provide you with more specific advice for your condition.

I'm not in a position to say what your symptoms could be, and we can't give medical advice on the community in line with our house rules, but I hope that you get some further answers soon and can be supported by your medical team :)

I’d ask to see a rheumatologist for an assessment. Good luck.
Hope you feel much better very soon

It sounds like you’re having a pretty rough time of it at present, I hope they soon get it sorted for you. I have RA and osteoporosis, I’m on biologics alongside other medications. I also have neutropenia, which puts me at high risk of serious infections.
I’m lucky because I work with a rheumatologist so I was diagnosed early, but it was a bit of hit and miss with the treatment as my white blood cells drop significantly with some of the meds, so it took awhile to get the right ones for me.
You’ll need to be referred to a rheumatologist to get a diagnosis of RA, I was diagnosed at my first appointment. They have been fantastic with me and I can’t praise them highly enough.
It can be very debilitating and painful but there are treatments that help and new ones are also being approved.
    Best wishes
