Hey guys, just wanted some advise about my hosing benefit, I'm not not to clued up with state of affairs with benefits relating housing benefits I find it very difficult to understand so I left it to the local council to deal plus I was dealing with depression and at very low point in life, so im not sure if I should be being paying full rent or not, or if I should change the tenancy to my sister who's on PIP so we don't t have to pay the full rent.
At the moment I paying full rent its like £488
I'm the tentent since 2010 , im on UC and care allowance benfits
There 4 people living in the property including my self in total.
My two sister recive PIP and ESA enhanced rate both parts.
I have nieice who is 22 turning 23 next mouth works 0 hour contract and roughly earns £500 to £600 a mouth.
I live in four bedroom which is adapted for my sisters.
Not sure if you need further Information, if you do pleases ask and will provide.
I look forward to the your reply,
kind regards

If you're claiming Universal Credit then any help with the rent will be paid with your UC and not through housing benefit, unless you're either in supported or temporary housing. To change the tenancy agreement to your sisters name then you will need to speak to your landlord. Whether she's entitled to claim for any help with the rent through UC will totally depend on her circumstances.1

Hi,
In order to give you the information you have asked for we do need to know whether your housing costs are included in your UC or whether you are claiming Housing benefit. Are you private renters or in social housing. Am I right in understanding that you have an entitlement to carer's allowance? Do you have an additional amount for ill health in your UC ?0
