Hello everyone
Out of the blue have received a letter to say I have a pip review on the 12th June.
I've not received a review from to fill in and when I was awarded pip they said it would be till July 2023, I know they can call in for a review at anytime but has anyone had this ? Could it be something to do with my esa assessment I had in March?.
More stressing till the pending day

PIP doesn't have anything to do with your ESA assessment because they are 2 completely different benefits. I'd advise you to ring PIP and ask why you haven't received any review forms.

That's really worrying. I don't have answers for you but although the ESA assessment is nothing to do with PIP I have heard of others this happens to. Seems like a rotten coincidence but the sceptic in me things more.
They did use to review awards 12 months ahead but this was shortened to 6 month and there is a huge backlog so it is odd they pulled yours closer. Have you called to ask them about form? I'm worried for you that one was sent but didn't arrive0 -
It is strange, I feel the last few months have been so stressful with all benefits related, feel that I have aged lol. It did say in the letter I have been randomly picked, wish I was that lucky on the lottery.

Let us know how you get on @jayuk I can imagine this would be worrying, but hopefully the review will go smoothly! If you need any advice on how to complete the review forms, I'm sure some members who've been through this would be happy to give you some support.0

Are you able to get to a dentist?I had to ring emergency dentist and went yesterday and had my wisdom tooth pulled out, just glad it's out and hopefully quick healing as I need proper food.If you ever have tooth ache get some orajel extra strength from chemist as it helped so much.0

I'm glad you managed to get it sorted @jayuk I can imagine it's tough not being able to eat proper food. Are you able to consume enough in liquid form?
Thanks for the tip!0 -

I have just read my letter again and it came with a booklet and it says that its performance measurement team. Really stressed about this and worried I could lose my claim.

performance measurement sounds like they are reviewing performance of assessors and DWP rather than you but I don't know really that's just a guess. I hope everything turns out okay0

Having just done a quick google search the performance measurement team is otherwise known as a compliance interview, people are sometimes chosen at random. https://www.gov.uk/dwp-visit

I was way off then! Thanks @poppy123456!0

Thankyou for your replies.I find it strange that on the letter it says pip review and then in the booklet says performance measurement team.Reading the link poppy it comes across that they are just checking this ...They’ll also ask you to send documents about money, savings and rent, for example:
- payslips
- bank, building society or Post Office accounts
- rent book or tenancy agreement
- benefits and tax credit awards
You’ll need to send original documents, not copies. The officer will tell you where to send them.
What would this have to do with pip if its not means tested.
I feel they should make things alot clearer for people claiming pip on the gov site.
I hope I have made sense on what I have written.

Yes PIP isn't means tested but they can do checks for people claiming disability benefits too. They are checking your PIP award is correct. I found a different forum with information because someone else had the same for a PIP claim. See that here, though it was a few years ago. https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/forum/10-dla-esa-queries-results/123869-performance-measurement-visit The only thing with that thread is the person didn't come back to say what the outcome was.

Hi @jayuk,
Good morning, try not to worry too much ! I haven't been able to find out any more information over and above what the other community members have provided. I would reiterate what @poppy123456 has said that it is quite possible that you may have been selected at random. Let us know how the interview goes. Take care0
