DLA tribunal ruled in our favour, what next?

Hi everyone,
I had my sons DLA tribunal hearing yesterday. They told me straight away that they were agreeing with the appeal and I didn’t have to sit through a hearing as they’d already made the decision based on the evidence they had.

Does anyone know how long it takes for DWP to update their records?
It was for the higher rate mobility and were hoping to get a car for him but with the wait times for new cars at the minute, we’re hoping to get it done ASAP.
Also, if anyone has any recent experience on how long the backpay takes to come through that would also be appreciated. It’s been almost a year since we put in the application to have his DLA reassessed so I’m not in any rush, but it would be nice to know
thank you
thank you

Hi great news it takes up to 8 weeks for them to action the outcome of a tribunal award and pay back pay
You might get the normal payment quicker than this and hopefully the award letter so you can look at cars0
