Help with UC. Why must I continuously prove I'm actively seeking employment?

I am a single parent with a child of 3 years who is currently being diagnosed for autism. I am her full time career so unable to work.
Why am I required to continuously
be interviewed where I have to prove that I am actively seeking employment when I clearly can’t work due to my caring responsibilities of which I have written NHS proof.
help and advice would be great as it is a waste of my time and also must be a drain on resources. My position is not going to change at all until
she goes to nursery (1 year away)

Are you claiming DLA mid/high rate care for your child? If you are then you can claim the carers element for looking after her and then you won't be expected to look for work or attend appointments.1
