It is a known fact that having gratitude can greatly improve our outlook on anything!
Did you know that practicing gratitude has so many benefits for all aspects of our lives? Here are just some examples:
Physical health benefits
Gratitude can radically improve our physical health. It reduces symptoms of physical stress, lowers blood pressure, improves sleep, help to increase exercising and much much more!
Mental Health and Emotional benefits
Having an “attitude to gratitude” can make us happier. Spending a few minutes per day remembering all the things in our lives that we are happy with, enjoying and are pleased with per day can increase our overall long-term happiness by 10%!
Social benefits
People who are more grateful often have a wider social network and better relationships. This is due to the affect that gratefulness has on the trustworthiness and confidence others perceive us to have.
Career benefits
Practicing gratitude can make us more effective at management. It can enhance praise giving skills to our colleagues and motivating abilities.
Personality benefits
Practicing gratitude makes us more optimistic, not only about others but also about ourselves. It can cause us to be more giving and can decrease self-centred thinking.

Lovely topic!!
I’m obviously grateful for family and for having food and a roof over my head but I am trying to think of something a bit original.
I think I am grateful for the fact that I live in a civilised country with relatively good law and order, access to healthcare when we need it, roads & good traffic management, etc.
I’m aware some will say “what, I thought you lived in the UK” but I am trying to look at it pragmatically, I think on balance it’s not a bad place.2 -
I think that's a good one @66Mustang, I often speak with my partner about how grateful I am we live in a country with relatively stable weather patterns, we don't often get natural disasters here.
Thanks for posting the thread @Leo_Aces, a great thought provokerI think I'm grateful for the simple things this weekend really, things like the satisfaction of a warm cup of tea in the morning or a funny message from a family member in the group WhatsApp.

Lovely response @66Mustang 😊
You are absolutely spot on. Sometimes it can be easier for us to overlook the many good things about where we live

Grateful the majority of things go smoothly for me because I know for a lot of others they consistently go wrong!
Grateful to be able to afford food on the table and in the winter months to put the heating on when I'm cold.
Lovely topic by the way!1 -
I'm grateful that I don't live in pain on a daily basis. I have pain on occasions and have had extreme pain daily in the past so I honestly don't know how people cope that suffer constantly1

@janer1967 same here
I read about people who have pain every day
I occasionally am in pain and don’t know how I’d cope with it permanently
Of course we always find a way to cope but still I have respect for people who do it0
