LCWRA review process?

Hello what is the longest period one can be receiving LCWRA without review? I got awarded LCWRA back in march 2020 and still haven't received any review info. I'm asking not because I can't wait for it . Iam asking to know what to expect. When it comes,does it come with quick assessment date? How long does it take them to make decision  whether you eligible ,is it several months like PIP? I just don't want to receive sudden message with short notice review which then if am not eligible follows by cutting the payment immediately.

It varies wildly between claimants so there’s no longest time.
When it’s time for your review you will receive a letter onto your journal telling you, you are being referred for the work capability assessment. Shortly after that you will receive the form in the post. It’s the same form you filled out the last time.
Decision timescales vary too but you should expect another assessment because most people have them. It’s not unusual for a review to take several months.

My partner was put into the LCWRA in 2017 and hasn’t yet had a review, likely because of the lockdowns and the back logs that it has caused, however I should expect as soon as they’re back on form he’ll be getting one in due course.

Reviews for lcwra are currently suspended due to prioritising new claims no idea how long this will last and they will resume

@jamruples oh god since 2017 . I wish my one was lasting this long

That is wishful thinking. I know it's difficult but please try to think about something else because it's not helping your stress levels by constantly thinking about it. When it's review time, you will know because of the letter on your journal.

Your not alone Robert, it’s a constant thought over this way too. It’s really not helpful not having a timeline. It’s the waiting that’s the problem. The unknown, but there’s a lot of us in the same boat so try to take some comfort in that.

Mine decision didn't come with an end date BUT I messaged and asked, wish I hadn't.. It was only for 3 months

LCW and LCWRA do not have end dates on decision letters. This is because they are an ongoing award until a new decision says otherwise. Reviews for the work capability assessment are still suspended anyway so it's unlikely you will be reviewed anytime soon.

Reviews are currently suspended as stated above, from what I've heard they are not likely to restart until next year at the earliest and it could be longer than that. They are not even half way through the backlog. Unless the government demand that reviews restart it could be a while. Try not to stress out about it, when it happens it will happen.

I’ve just filled out a form, I’ve been very honest ( possibly too honest). I have addissons disease, kidney disease, osteoarthritis and spondylitis. I do get a lot of pain but I’ve had to work to pay my bills after leaving an abusive marriage. My heads all over, so far I’ve made a fool of myself in front of two doctors by blubbering.  I start counselling in February. I’m so worried I won’t get any help so I understand why people worry x
