Habs Mencap Funday
The Habs Mencap Funday is an annual event, organised by the Haberdashers’ Boys’ and Girls’ Schools, and supported by Mencap Barnet. It is held at The Haberdasher’s Boys’ School where children with learning disabilities aged between 5 and 16 years are invited to the school and are looked after by pupil volunteers from the Boys’ and Girls’ Schools.
On the Funday, two or three pupils will be paired up with a child who they will be responsible for, and accompany them, throughout the day. This involves taking them to different activities, participating as well as chatting with them and ensuring that they have a good time.
Ultimately, Habs Mencap Funday is an opportunity for the pupils and children to have fun together participating in various activities and it really is a day to remember!

Activities
The Funday promises to offer a wide range of activities for the children to entertain them in various ways so that each child is able to find multiple activities that they thoroughly enjoy.
Activities this year will include animal petting, football, face painting, bouncy castles, teacup rides, roller coaster, arts and crafts, music making and much more!
Confectionary and party items will also accompany these activities for the children, with the aim of maximising the fun of the day. These will consist of candy floss, ice cream, balloons, badges and various others as we try to make the day as successful and enjoyable as possible
