Are you keeping a good eye on Rover during these hot days?
You may want to read this article warning that dogs actually suffer from heatstroke at lower temperatures than thought .

We’ve had a real scorcher here today, it was eighty Fahrenheit in the shade in my garden @Teddybear12!

I remember the opposite with one of my dogs once. Many years ago it was a cold winters day and snow lay on the ground. I took Fido out for a walk and within half a mile she couldn’t walk anymore, her paws were covered in ice! So naturally I picked her up and carried her home much to her delight, she wouldn’t stop licking my face!

Hot pavements are also not good for their feet. A friend of mine avoids paths and walks his dog on grass where possible when it’s hot, much cooler.

That's good advice about walking them on grass @leeCal I'm not a dog owner myself, though I can certainly appreciate wanting to help keep them happy and cool :)
