Hiya everyone.. I'm self employed and I have been sick for 2 months now. I sended sick notes to uc and I got a uc50 form to complete. Yesterday I got app for 28 june in jobcentre even my sick note is expiring on 30 june. What I should do? Is this normal? And how long I'll wait for the wca decision I have to give them more sick notes and still have to go on jobcentre on appointments? Thx in advance!!

Hi and welcome
You still need to attend appointments and provide continuous fit notes until you have had your work capability assessment and a decision has been made0 -
Hi Julyana, as stated above you must attend all appointments & send in sick notes until they tell you not to. Also make sure to watch for messages via the UC portal as you don't want to give any excuse that may affext payments. You haven't said if you are long term sick, but my process was to claim basic UC until I could get an assesment, which they held up as I needed a specialist assesor. I was very lucky & got a very nice work coach who after seeing me once said she was going make all future appointments online as she could see how difficult it was for me to attend face to face. My work coach also chased up my assesment & with that and some very good advice from the Benefits & Work website I was placed in the LCFW section. Once you are through that stage you no longer need to send sick notes, but instead will get a review date based upon your circumstances (mine was 2 years) It did take nearly a year to get though it all, so try to be patient (not easy I know) & just be persistent with them but always be friendly, don't give any excuses to delay their decision etc. I wish you the very best trhough all of this.0

There is no end date to lcwra the date is just a recommendation for review timescale
The award stays in place until a reassessment has been done and a new decision made
Currently all reviews are suspended while they catch up with new claims0 -

Thank you for ur reply. I'll go on 28 hopefully after she will see me she will not ask again to go there. I don't know if ill be long term ill coz I have iih and both side of face paralysed. I'm barely talking as mu mouth is not doing the job anymore. As for the iih the diziness and vertigo is killing me. I cant handle anymore light or noise so I am kind of home stuck. Let's hope for the better . Thx again0

I wasn't nitpicking, I was merely pointing out that you weren't correct. If i hadn't have pointed this out then other members would have thought it was correct. I never claimed i was an expert. I've also got information incorrect in the past but i'm happy to be corrected when it does happen.

I don't see that i did anything wrong here, other than to correct the information you gave. You are correct that there are nicer ways of dealing with such situations but calling someone a nitpicker isn't one of them.
