This, of course, isn't at all inspired by a recent ad campaign from a famous sandwich company...

Do you prefer your crisps in your sandwich, or on the side?

Crisp in I've even taught my grandkids to put crisps on their sandwiches, now they expect it.

For me, it depends on the sandwich, and also on the flavour of crisps.

I often demolish an entire sharing bag of crisps on my own in one sitting @Teddybear12, so I can relate to that!

I’d never heard of a crisp sandwich forty five years ago, I thought I’d invented it! 🤣

I never thought having them with other stuff in sandwiches. I've had crisp sandwiches but never with other fillings. What's your favourite combination? I'm very curious to try one now!!

Crisps 'on the side' for me.

Though technically straight out of the packet to save crumbs.  :D

If they're not in a sandwich that's the only way to eat them, straight from the packet!! :D

I have never tried a crisp sandwich but I don't know if I like the idea of crunchy crisps in a soft sandwich. I'm often not too keen foods that mix textures.

I like crisps and I like sandwiches but not sure about combining them!!

You won`t like cheese and apple sandwiches then; the softness of the bread, the slightly firmer of the cheese and the crunch of the apple.  They are, in my eyes, really nice butties :)

@Cartini yeah - after I wrote that I don’t like foods that mix textures I immediately thought of loads I like that break the rule, those sandwiches sound nice, I’ll have to give them a try. :)

Crisps on the side if it's a sandwich with something in it but I do make crisp sandwiches with bread and butter

I’m can be a little fussy with texture combinations @66Mustang, for instance with beans on toast I have to have the beans in a bowl on the side and not on the toast. Sandwiches are another story though as I don’t mind mixing textures there.

Beans on toast is a weird wet/dry thing for me. I prefer the beans separate too
