Fit note gap?

I have been sorting through my fit notes today and noticed that one ended on the 9th of September and the next one started on the 10th of September. Is this classed as a gap as my others always over lapped by 2/3 days.

That’s not classed as a gap.0

Thank you poppy123456.
What is classed as a gap? Because I noticed there isn't much information about gaps in fit notes that I could find.0 -
You said your fit note ended on the 9th and your next one started on the 10th, that's not a gap. A gap would be if your fit note ended on the 9th and your next one started on 11th.

That's correct. I was just curious if there was a certain amount of days in between fit notes that was allowed.
I am lucky my dr was always on the ball with my fit notes but not everyone is that fortunate so thought the dwp would allow a few days grace knowing that some people struggle with getting appointments for fit notes ect.0 -
Although they don't give any leeway between fit notes, you do get plently of reminders on your journal that your fit note is expiring soon.During my daughters wait for the WCA last year her fit notes were for 6 months and a couple of weeks before the first one ran out i got 2 messages to remind me. I contacted her GP who then gave another fit note dated for the date after the first one ended.0

It's beneficial that they send reminders. But i think it can be stressful for people who don't have long fit note times as my drs for example don't provide them over the phone and you can be left waiting weeks for an appointment.
Just seems like various obstacles to overcome/maneuver around when it comes to the dwp.
I received a letter today regarding my back pay and future payment amount. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount due and I am really glad the process is over for now.0
