Hello everyone - I need help filling in a PIP form.
I am visually impaired. A diabetic. 64 year old male, with stress issues. I can only use the PC for short spells before everything gets too fuzzy for me to continue.
I've spent two weeks on reading some guides and wrote down everything that I think is relevant to my claim. Is there some knowledge-able person who I could send a pdf file to, who could review everything, and help me with filling the form properly?
The form needs to go back before the 13th July.
I know there are Scope advisors, but I got the impression they are very busy and think I need to ask for more time. I'd rather not do that, if possible.
Thanks for any help/advice/reply.

We won’t be able to help you fill out the forms this way because the majority of people that post here do so voluntarily. No one here knows anything about how your conditions affect you so it would be impossible to help fill out the forms. I personally don’t give advice through private message because I just don’t have the time. You can check this link to see what advice agency is local to you https://advicelocal.uk/
Other than that we can give advice on how to fill out the form. You should put as much information as possible about how your conditions affect you, without giving your life story.Add a couple of real world incidents of exactly what happened the last time you attempted that activity for each descriptor that applies to you. Include detailed information such as where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were.
You should aim for at least half an A4 side of paper per descriptor that applies.
You can request an extension to return the form and they’ll give you an extra couple of weeks.0 -

I hope that the information poppy123456 has provided has been helpful! If there's anything you're still unsure about, please do let us know.

As mentioned in my initial post, I have already done everything.
All I needed was someone to review and suggest any required edits.
I'm in touch with your helpline advisors. They are helping me. Thanks.

2023.01.26 - No one has contacted me so far. How long does this process take?Your dates are confusing. You can't apply for PIP online, unless you mean you filled in the PIP2 form online as some people are offered this way rather than a paper PIP2 in the post.Timescales vary between different areas and some are waiting more than several months. You should expect and assessment and most are by telephone, some are video and face to face at an assessment centre. Once an appointment becomes available you will be contacted.0 -
Yes, I submitted the completed online form on 27th July 2022poppy123456 said:Skyra64 said:Hi all,2022.07.27 - I applied for PIP online on 27th July 20222022.08.12 - Rang and confirmed they had recieved my application. It's been 6 months so far which seems excessive.1 -
As i advised it really does depend on the area you live. It's not unusual to be waiting several months for the assessment.

OK, thanks. I'm from Leeds, West Yorkshire. I'll wait a few more months.calcotti said:
Obviously you can ring them if you want to too, they may direct you to the assessment provider.Skyra64 said: Yes, I submitted the completed online form on 27th July 2022It's been 6 months so far which seems excessive.

I rang them. They did not receive a referral. I rang DWP. They have referred me now.
They have taken 28 weeks before referring me to the Medical Assessment Agency.
Read my post in another thread about DWP Incompetence, if interested.1 -
I'm sorry it's been taking such a long time @Skyra64 hopefully things can move forward for you soon!1
