A little kindness can go a long way....

I'm feeling quite overwhelmed and anxious at the moment as I have a lot going on.
Today I was trying to manoeuver my car in a carpark and a lady driver sat patiently waiting to get past. We both smiled and waved.
Then I was driving home down a winding, narrow lane and a man in a van pulled over to the side to make it easier for me to pass.
Both of these kind and courteous acts lifted my spirits.
A while back I was talking to an elderly gentleman who was walking his dog. When we had finished chatting, he said "Can I just thank you for stopping and chatting to me? People usually walk straight past".
The smallest things we do for others can really have a positive impact.
So, I'm just wondering, what little acts of kindness have helped to lift your spirits recently?

Sorry to hear that you aren't feeling great at the moment @Starlingbird, though I'm glad to read of some of those positive things that have happened recently. The little things really do make a world of difference!
For me, just being made a cup of tea can really lift my spirits1 -

Yeah I guess so. The best thing to do if your feeling overwhelmed is to break things down into smaller tasks1

It always makes me smile and feel good when anyone does a small gesture just out of the blue. I always think as I walk my little dog if I can make someone smile it has been a good walk. Take care.
Oh, that's a lovely outlook regarding your walks with your little doggy. Dogs are always a good conversation starter!1 -
I'm sorry you have to move because of bullying and harassment. Have you the police involved? Hopefully you'll feel safer in your new home.1

Its a shame that. It might do you good the move then maybe you can move back later on when you feel stronger1

@Starlingbird a move helped me a lot when I was suffering from similar problems. I hope it works for you, I’m sure it will.1

Thank you, @leeCal Great to hear things improved for you when you moved house. I just need a peaceful life so that I can heal. My nervous system is shot!
Sorry everyone....this was meant to be a heart warming thread, but like many conversations, it drifted off track.0 -
