Hi
Had a PIP award review (sent paperwork in Feb 2022) its recently gone to PIP to decide... The question i have is, what is the procedure for PIP renewal? its my understanding that they ask you 6 months before end of award to reapply.... So my other question is, if they decided against the award review, how then would i be able to apply for a renewal?....Hope this makes sense!

If a claimant is refused then there will be no review because there will be no award in place. If you're successfully awarded, which i would expect because you had a paper based assessment then yes, reviews take place about 6 months before. The process for that will be the same for your current review, whether a paper based assessment can be achieved next time, is impossible to predict.Renewal/review are both the same thing.1
