I saw this coming when he resigned. Thought it was obvious.

That's interesting @Sandy_123 how do you think he'd fair in the role of Prime Minister?0
-
I'm not sure to be honest, I don't think he's in touch with people not in his circle. But he may sirpise me, time will tell.0
-
I think he would make a good pm but the policies are what counts following that.0

If he handles the PM role the same as he did as chancellor I’m not holding much hope.1

I’m just hoping that we have a general election soon. I don’t really care who takes over after Boris as they all backed up his lies until the very last minute. In my eyes that makes them as bad as him.1

I agree with you @Karen7788, they are only interested in saving there own skin, as for a general election, i see them getting in again, Labour are useless with Keir in charge, in the past i have voted labour and even lib dems till they got a taste of power and went back on key pledges, so i don't know if that'll be a change worth hoping for, i'd hold my nose and vote labour again, as far as Sunak getting the top job, i'm thinking he has no idea what the rest of us go through daily living wise, so unsure1

Like all the rest but probably even more so sunak has no idea what it's like to live in the real world he hasn't ever had to do so
I don't think he is any better and has no morals or integrity will just end up going down a slippery slope
I thought I heard him say he only had plans to stay in the UK a couple more years and take advantage of education nhs etc before he leaves with his very wealthy wife1 -
I believe that Rishi Sunak would make a very good PM. His wife IS extraordinarily rich, but then again some of the wives of other Conservative members are. Sunak did not shirk from pumping billions into the covid fight, and without that the UK would have sank without trace. It needed doing, and it was done. Of course, this means that there is now a huge hole in the Countries finances but this would have been the case whichever Party was in power at the time.0

I think he was an exceptional chancellor but being PM is a major thing and I’m just not getting that ‘vibe’. I don’t mean to sound racist either (because I am not) but I really can’t see some white British people voting for someone who’s wife is an Indian millionaire. I don’t personally mind the colour of any PM but some people get so offended by it.0

Rishi Sunak lost this country £11 billion by failing to insure this country’s debts against high interest rates. I don’t think he’s competent enough for role. We’re already in enough of a mess.0
