Poem called heatwave
With temper rising to extraordinary numbers
As we keep ourselves hydrated 
The heat is affecting us humans but our dogs are wilting under the heat
As we eat ice screams to keep ourselves cool while sitting in the swimming pool.
As there is a boom in people heading to their local swimming pools.
Although we can not seem to be please when cold we are unhappy even when the weather is hot when enjoying our favourite tipple while sitting in our background while our children have a soft drink of their choice.
One important message is to wear a sunhat on your head and sunscreen on your skin so you don't get sun sunburnt.
We just enjoy the sun for as long as we got it for.
It curs pains and ailments for some of us with heat for some relief.
As we struggle to eat some foods because too warm.
While we spend time with our loved ones

Hi @Globster. Thanks for sharing your poem with us. You are right, the summer can be wonderful but also a difficult time for other people (and dogs). Hopefully, everyone has or will have the weather they prefer soon
